BRANCH TRIPS v TRAVEL AGENTS?
Those present at our August meeting were presented with various options on the cost and methods of travel to be used for Branch Trips 2008/2009. Please check 2008 Trip Options and Costs to download these for analysis and compare favourably with similar packages that are offered by Travel Agents, whose prices are significantly more expensive.
For example, our first trip of the season will be to the Fulham fixture on November 22nd. Our group will stay 2 nights in the Britannia Adelphi hotel (high quality city centre hotel) and the total package is expected to be €290 (Euro). Wharton Travel and Celtic Horizon tours are offering lesser packages (budget hotels approx 8 miles from the city centre) for €319 and €399 respectively.

Hotels are becoming more expensive and more difficult to acquire, one of the reasons being the capital of culture status that the city of Liverpool currently has.
