We are currently waiting on the selling arrangements for this game to be announced, but are expecting tickets to be sold in accordance with FA cup games attended last season. The branch have received all 35 tickets that we were eligible to apply for and these will be available for collection at our next branch meeting (date TBD, but will be held during w/c 12th January). Successful applicants have been notified by post (which should arrive during w/c Monday 5th January).

Our chairperson. Mr. John Doherty, has issued the following statement in response to requests that the branch received, inviting us to participate in a debate on the alleged Steven Gerrard reports, through the local media:

“The branch have declined all invitiations to comment on the incidents, relating to Steven Gerrard, that have been alleged in recent days. We would also like to reiterate our solidarity with the club and it’s captain at this time. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish to all our members in Donegal, nationally and internationally a Happy New Year . The support and dedication of our members to the club has always been outstanding. With your ongoing support hopefully 2009 will be a very prosperous year indeed.”

We are attracting interest from all over the world and it is surprising to note that the majority of our visitors are actually from outside County Donegal.
